Many of my patients have been asking me how to get scheduled for a Covid Vaccine, so I have compiled a list of tips below to help guide you. Hope this helps!
Trying to figure out how long the Covid vaccine will last has been a challenge. I have been checking antibody levels in patients and there is wide variability. The new testing does provide more information on quantitative levels which is helpful. CDC seems to be indicating that immunity levels are showing signs of decline after 8 months post vaccination and antibody levels are declining. I myself have not verified this but only started testing in some patients for monitoring. I would suggest patients older than 65 in patients with high-risk occupational exposures such as healthcare industry and immunosuppressed patients get vaccine booster 8 months after last vaccine. His like for scheduling at Methodist West Houston.
